Interestingly, Larches are not evergreens, despite their cones, needles and piny appearance. They are deciduous and their fresh spring foliage is very attractive.

you might want to bounce this one off the conifer forum ...

'evergreen' simply means a plant that holds its leaves thru winter... though not forever .. they are all eventually shed ...

there are many plants in many species that are such ... including conifers.. shrubs... perennials ... trees... etc ...

and as noted.. there are a couple different types of conifers... which are deciduous .... losing their leaves in fall ...
