Also growing in south Florida in February. Has thorns on stem. Probably not a litchi tomato. Any guesses?

I see several out-of-focus little tomato-ish flowers (upper left in particular), so I seriously doubt it's a mahonia. [The leaves are a dead ringer (considering the blurriness) for Solanum carolinense, which I am unfortunately all-too-familiar with. But the berries are wrong.]

I did not see the flowers till you pointed them out! ... Well the nightshade (solanacea) family makes sense if this has lots of tomato plant features. EDIT: Egads. Just looked it up and Carolina Horsenettle is horrible! Glad I have had no occasion to meet up with it.

It's a Solanum. Are there any other pics of this one? A clearer image may help in the ID. FataMorgana
