Just prune it, if you want multiple plants and place cuttings in the soil. It will root 'real fast'.

Cinnamon doesn't stimulate the actual rooting of a cutting. It prevents fungal infections and slows the decaying process while the cutting tries to root.

You could put some rooting hormone on it, and then put it in a pot of soil. This actually is a tree, and may not root in water.

Hi Gina, welcome to Gardenweb! I'd vote for putting it in a pot of soil.

thanks i will put it in soil due to majority of votes. Thanks for the welcome purple!! Ken its supposed to be a rooting hormone or so I heard but shear says it prevents fungus and slows the decay process giving it more time to root im guessing. I read that air propogating is the best way but I got these clippings from 'around the neighborhood' so ill opt for soil! |

They grow pretty easily from cuttings in soil or medium. If it grows outdoors in your climate I'd just stick it into the ground. I had to do mine indoors in potting medium. But it rooted quite quickly.

Just passing the info along. I'd never tried it, just knew what it was "intended" to be used for in this setting.
