| Does someone know what this is? It has long thin leaves, pretty strong, pretty ugly, looks hard to take out. Previous home owner had it and it seems overgrown. |

| I think it may be Dietes bicolor, peacock flower, butterfly iris; it is a frequently used low maintenance plant in California gardens. |

| Does it flower? Looks like over grown liriope; popular landscape plant. Also resembles an ornamental grass. |

| Agree with Susan's ID. It doesn't resemble Lirope to me. At first glance, I thought it might be Ophiopogon, but not after looking at the Dietes. |
