I have this plant for several years now but never know its name. My mom gave me a branch which I soaked in water for a couple of weeks to grow root. It grows very fast and is forgiving when I forgot to water it or watered too much. Some leaves turn yellow/black and fall if over watered. The plant has a very strong smell if you rub your fingers on the leaves. The leaves are velvety, and if you look closely there are tiny white hair on the surface of the leaves. The plant tend to droop and hang over the edge of the pot when the branch is long. Need some help in identifying this wonderful plant. Thank you!

Its a Plectranthus of some kind, aka Swedish Ivy &/or Creeping Charlie (I've also heard of it called Cuban Oregano).

Thank you for the hint! I googled it and the pictures and descriptions really matched my plant. Here are some interesting facts I found about this wonderful plant: Plectranthus amboinicus, herb of a hundred names Ã¯Â¿Â½Ã¯Â¿Â½" Cuban oregano, French Thyme, Indian borage, Mexican mint, Spanish thyme, Queen of Herbs and Mother of Herbs. It has a wide variety of culinary and medicinal uses around the world. It has purple flowers. I have had mine for a few years now but it never bloomed. How do I make it flower?
