| Do a google.com search for Diablo Ninebark � Physocarpus Opulifolius - see if that's your plant. |

| It won't be Physocarpus which has alternate leaf arrangement. |

| Where was the picture taken? If I saw that here I would say it was Privet (Ligustrum sp.). L vulgare, for example, is semi evergreen and the leaves do go dark in the winter. But if it's in Mexico I'm not so sure. |
