Central coastal Florida here. I had posted this in the Weeds forum in January, still no ID. Here is the URL for the original post with all the pics and guesses. http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/weeds/msg0110175016232.html And for those of you who don't want to go look, I'll try to paraphrase: I'm told by my (brand new) front lawn service company that this is "some type of chickweed." No one agrees. Mine is now dying since being sprayed (front yard only, people... I don't have a choice, we're in an HOA), but my neighbor's is growing like... well... you know... Here are some pictures taken today. There are more at the URL above.

No, not chickweed, since they have opposite leaves. Maybe Parietaria floridana or something related?

YES!!! Omg, thank you! This has been driving me absolutely nuts. Every single Google image looks like what I've got here! *Brilliant!*

On the lower left, you have a vine pictured, the one c the trilobed leaf. This is a native passion vine (Passiflora suberosa) which is the host plant to several types of butterflies. The Gulf Fritillary, the Zebra Longwing and the Julia all call this plant chow as caterpillars.

Yeah, I had it identified a few weeks ago... AFTER pulling it all out. Not to worry, it's back! I'm going to put string or something around where it's growing against the fence so we don't weed-whack it or pull it out again. Any idea why it has yellow spots on it? The ones I pulled out a few weeks ago had it, too.

Looks like some kind of insect damage. Mine had it too, but kept on rockin"
