Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me identify this?
Not sure if it is a weed or some herb ive planted some previous year that decided to germinate this year.. looks like it could possibly be some type of oregano or thyme?

Thanks

    It reminds me of Acalypha rhomboidea. If it were oregano or thyme, it should have aromatic foliage if you bruise a leaf.

    i think i see a trough ...

    if so ... then you should change out the media ... thereby removing it ...

    it doenst make sense.. to 'hope' that it will turn into something you may or may not have planted last year ... you might waste the whole season.. growing weeds ...

    media in pots wears out .. rather quickly.. hence the suggestion to start fresh each season ...

    ken

    You may be correct, apparantly this weed has spread to europe. Looks a lot like this one;

    virginia copperleaf

    To me this looks like Pellitory of the Wall, Parietaria judaica. A common plant throughout Europe, not an alien. As its name implies it is a plant which likes old masonry. Fast draining.âÂÂ
