could anyone of you determine the species? Pic taken last week, the foliage had this unususal red hue/ tint which is not typicall for the native/ weedy Veronicas I know (hederi-thingi, persi-something).

I found it in a planting (Europe, Switzerland, mild winter), covering larger areas among taller perennials that had been chopped down after winter.

At some decent nursery I found a V. petraea-cultivar, not sure whether there could be look-alikes.
