It certainly looks like Echinocactus grusonii, golden barrel cactus, to me.

Hmmm. I'm not so sure. It just doesn't have that Echinocactus grusonii look to me. The spines look a bit too fine. Especially the middle spine - which tends to curve down as well.

How about Notocactus magnificus?

I'm no cactus expert though.

Spines and shape of plant don't look right for golden barrel.

Golden barrel's spines are thicker than that.

Cacti are hard to ID :(

It is definately not Echinocactus grusonii, the Golden Barrel. It is, almost certainly a Notocactus, N. magnificus or Parodia magnifica as it is now called, being a good contender.
E. grusonii will take quite a few years to flower, and they are quite small in comparison to the plant body. Notocactus (Parodia) will flower much sooner and the flowers are a lot bigger
