| i was going to say thats one ugly flower.. but from the link.. i see the beauty of this plant is not its flowers ... do they smell as ugly as they look ??? ... lol ... ken |
Here is a link that might be useful: link
| Flowers don't look right to me for Photinia. More like a Prunus. P caroliniana or similar. |

| I must admit Flora i was split between Prunus and Photinia. |
| I agree that this is P. Caroliniana, cherry laurel. |
| Yeah, P. caroliniana. They are blooming here as well. Tear up a leaf and see if it smells like cherries. |

| someone mentione Bay tree... anyone go with that?... haven't tried the leaf thing yet.... |
| Not Bay, I third the P. caroliniana ID. |
| You should be able to google for bay tree flower pics and compare yourself. I think the scientific name for bay tree is Laurus nobilis so google for "Laurus nobilis flowers". |
| Definitely the Prunus, none of the others have white flowers of exactly the same structure arranged in spike-like clusters. The Laurus doesn't even have similar leaves, Persea (red bay etc.) are different also. |
| This is definitely not Bay. They are two a penny round here and the flowers look nothing like this. |
