Glechoma hederacea. Creeping Charlie in the US, Ground Ivy here. (Note the hedera bit in the name, just like your Veronica hederifolia. It means the leaves resemble ivy.) You also have a wild Geranium sp. to the right over the stick.

Is this also ground ivy? This looks more like a flower to me bug when I googled the ground ivy pics this also looked like it?

That is not ground ivy. That is Lamium purpureum, red dead nettle. Another weed. I don't know how you got that picture for ground ivy. Although Google pictures are frequently mislabelled the entire first page when I just Googled were all the genuine article. Very unlucky. BTW in the US Creeping Charlie is the commonest common name I believe.

So far I haven't spotted any garden plants either in the fore or backgrounds of any of your pictures. Was this an old garden plot? It seems to be overrun with weeds. Keep them coming and we'll try to sort them out for you.

I am overrun c Creeping Charlie. The butterflies seem to go for it though...
