Good for shade?

I'm trying to identify this tree. Seems to be native to southern Louisiana. Right now it's tall and skinny. Wondering if it's good for shade. Thanks for the info.

RE: Good for shade?

cant see your pic

tall and skinny in a tree.. usually means its reaching for light ...

most things do not die in shade... they just dont grow to specification ...

look forward to the pic
