Fig?

Looks rather like a fig (Ficus carica) to me. Does it have milky sap?

Break off a leaf or score the bark. You'll see the sap. It's a fig, no doubt.

Right on all counts. There may be a larger example not far away in your neighborhood, where this seedling came from, unless this is a re-sprout of a previously incompletely removed plant.

Looks too close to the wall for any tree. Some people are allergic to the latex in the sap of figs, and can get a rash very similar to poison ivy. If you're not sure, avoiding getting the sap on yourself would be a safe course of action.

It looks like a fig. I have many different varieties. This could be a treasure! Dig it up, pot it, don't water it much, and if the figs taste delicious, put it in a really huge pot!

People in the fig forum would kill for a surprise fig. Some seedlings need to be polinated, but many don't.

Ficus carica can also have a schmell reminiscent of a yard full of tomcats. Best away from the house and patio.

I would pot it and enjoy the figs, or possibly a friend who has room for it could take it. I have been wanting one here.
