Boston fern. They would probably prefer to stay out of the sun all day.

morning sun.. meaning near dawn.. ought to be ok.. not intense enough ...

late morning sun.. might not be ...

probably not an issue as how high it is.... but it might .... think about it.. act accordingly ....

You might want to consider a larger pot for that at some point; it already looks a bit crowded.

If a Boston fern (and sure looks like one), may be it's just still too darn cold to be outside in z6 at this time of year. Boston ferns are sold as houseplants, being semi-tropical in origin. They are often summered out of doors on porches, etc. but are not gonna be happy much below 40F.

I wouldn't think of putting one outdoor here until late May/early June.
