Trying to figure out what flower this is

This is a little bit of a grainy photo, as it was taken by a 35mm but it's the only one I have of this right now.
I'm trying to figure out what flower this is. We've had them in our front garden for 5 years or so and they've spread like crazy and have taken over most of the front garden and was wondering what they are so we can figure out how to remove them effectively.
