Hello,

I'd really like to purchase these trees. I live in Seattle. Please help me ID!

Prunus laurocerasus.

The above laurels are poorly sited, hopefully yours will be given much more space, otherwise be prepared to do a lot of annual pruning. As a group, in Portland, laurels tend to be the most sidewalk/driveway/house -crowding shrubs around.

Would encourage planting of something else as this coarse-textured species is already used to excess here - and is a weed in local parks and other green spaces.

Along with Portugal laurel, common hawthorn, firethorn, Irish ivy, spurge laurel, Himalayan blackberry, stranvaesia, Cotoneaster rehderii, European mountain ash, European birch and Norway maple.
