| This was blooming in late March and early April in a wooded area of SW Mich. The flower cluster is about the size of a nickel at the end of a red stem; the leaves are at the ends of separate stems, usually 3 but sometimes 5.

| I can't see the photo either but if the leaves are on the ends of stems it likely isn't an allium. Does it smell of onions? |

| Thanks saltcedar, Panax trifolius, Dwarf ginseng is an exact match. I looked through about 6 wild flower ID sites and couldn't find it; now that I know what it is I can't see how I overlooked it - guess I couldn't see the forest for the trees. |
