Black - and its infected with bigbud mite which can introduce virus diseases. All the fat, spherical buds need to be removed and destroyed. I've marked some examples so you know what to look for.

If you crush a leaf or even brush past the bush you'll get a strong smell of tomcat.

Uh Oh! I was hoping it was a white or red - We already have blackcurrants in our garden so I think we'll just get rid of this one - it's pretty big and unruly so i don't think we'd ever get rid of the mites!
