what shade plant is this?

Found this plant growing in some Mississippi bottomland hardwoods. Full shade beneath a swamp chestnut oak. Its leaves are extremely velvety, like common mullein, but that is not what this is. It is too green in color, and the habitat is wrong for mullein. Any ideas?
