Plants in boggy ground

These plants were growing in a boggy area, in full sun. Stems were 14-18 inches tall, and oval in cross-section. Leaves were hollow, coming to a sharp point. The lower leaves were laterally divided every inch or so with a thin, internal membrane. A dark green band was visible at that location externally. Flowering stems had 4 or 5 of those hollow leaves, then a leaf-like bract just below the inflorescence.
