get this.. lol.. it will also have red cra-bapples ... compared to white flowered ones.. that favor yellow ... i am sure not a hard and fast rule.. but a curiosity i enjoy ....

Crabs of this type have been grouped together as Rosybloom crabapples in the past. There are many cultivars, both older and newer with rosy blooms and reddish leaves. The older ones, although still common often have disease problems like apple scab that mar them later in the season.

Thanks bboy, will watch for scab, the leaves have been clean so far and this is the first year it bloomed.
