These are planted all around the Reno, NV area. I think their a crabapple or fruitless cherry of some sort? I remember one in a yard when I was a teenager that use to "weep" which of course turned out to be bug secretions of some sort. Ew.
It's been here 6 + years. Here when I moved in last year. Didn't flower last year. Much trimming and watering and it looks like it's budding this year. Any takers?
