Small Tree ID

My parents have this tree growing in the back of the new house they moved to along with a grapefruit, apple and tangerine tree. Just don't know what it is. More bush like, with sharp long thorns (almost like a pomegranate) on the stem. The leaves have one larger and two smaller ones together. Would love to know its name.
