Could this be some type of Lavender?

Hello, we moved in this house in Dec. and this is growing outside the fence, it smells very herbaceous and has a soft camphor note. I don't think Lavender is supposed to grow well in this hot and humid climate, I am wondering if it could be some different variety or related. Thanks!
