7 ft. tall, yellow flowers blooms mid/late summer

Can anyone ID this plant?

It produces tall (6-8 ft) thin stems that bloom with yellow flowers from about mid summer to fall.

Unfortunately I only have a shot of the leaves as they look today.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Bart

Perhaps a Silphium.

Thanks!!

I think you nailed it.

I found some photos on line for:
Silphium perfoliatum - Cup Plant, and they look very similar to my memory of the plant.

Thanks again!
