Could you help me identify this bush?

We own a 125 year old Victorian home. This tree/bush is in the backyard. We are very curious what it is, so we may be able to take care of it and prune it properly. Does anyone have any idea? It's about 7 feet tall and rather stick like, not full and bushy.
