MAYBE Ligustrum family? No one knows!

Can someone help me identify this plant? It has little or no fragrance, waxy leaves, woody stems, & the flower ball is about the size of a baseball. I know it also comes in a red variety. I believe that's it's a tropical, but not a tea olive because there's no fragrance. It's new, so I don't know if it's fruit-bearing. Also, if you know what it is, will it grow well in a container?
