I forgot that Disocactus is being used now. It also appears that the habit of yours is not uncharacteristic - it is probably the straight D. phyllanthoides.

True Epiphyllum tend to be nocturnal flowering and white. The name Epicactus has been come up with for the many hybrid orchid cacti involving multiple genera.
