What is this unusual succulent?!

I have had it for 20 years. The leaves become hardwood limbs, and can get 6' long! It propagates very easily from the leaves - which are fleshy. It has never flowered, but the friend that gave it to me said hers bloomed once similar to an orchid. She also said she brought it over from Hawaii.
