Looks like Spiderwort of some sort. Spiderwort is a popular pass-along plant.

Given your location, I'd guess Tradescantia ohiensis or Tradescantia virginiana, but there are other possibilities if it got passed-along from outside its native range...

Look at the roots, that sometimes help identify things. Spiderwort, for one, has very unique looking roots.

Ah, yes! That's probably what it is... and I wonder if we want it?! I will go out and tease a clump apart to look at the roots (which should be "thick and fleshy"?) but I would say it does look like online photos of spiderwort. Thank you both!

It is adaptable, though whenever I transplant some, it languishes a bit before it starts to look nice. It is a bit untidy in its habit, but reasonably graceful. I do like those blue flowers, and it's a native plant.

Supposedly, hummers like it and definitely bees and butterflies do. A lot of humans like it also- I've made several people happy with some pass-along plants. Maybe you could try growing in a large pot to see how you like it?

Once established in the ground, it can spread, but it's easy to pull up a clump and pass it along.
