These plants are growing fast and all over my flower beds. Anyone know what this is?

    I think it might be some sort of aster. See the foliage at the link below.

    Could it be Butterfly Milkweed, Asclepias tuberosa? It looks like mine. Another thought is Fleabane. If you pull one up, does it come up easily, does it break off, or is it firmly attached?

    It looks too coarse for A ericoides IMO, could it be some Michaelmas Daisy? The ones in my garden have similar stiff hairy stems and the leaves sitting on the stem.

    Just not sure about the spreading pattern, long runners / rhizoms would exclude Symphyotrichum novae- angliae. Is it one large group?
    They do selfseed so that could explaine a cluster of plants.
