Can't see it very good so search for Claytonia perfoliata

Hmmm, no its not Miner's Lettuce, but thank you for the suggestion. The mystery plant hugs the ground (or in this case a rock) much more closely than Claytonia perfoliata.

Perhaps a closer look at the leaves that go with this plant would help.

OK, here is a picture of the leaves- I know this picture makes it look like the plant is Miner's Lettuce but I really don't think it is because of the way the plant hugs the moss/rock and the flowers are at the end of "viny" very small diameter stems. The first picture shows the long flower stems running all over the place. I also agree that the flower itself looks like a Miner's Lettuce flower- it is the growth habit of the plant that has me confused. Thanks for your help.

For this locale, "Candy Flower" would be correct.

It is a Claytonia species, they are variable and they hybridize.
