 o
Name of Mint Variety?

Can anyone identify this mint plant. It appears to be a wild/field/woodland variety. It is fuzzy and quite tall. Fresh peppermint aroma. I cannot seem to find a correct identification.
I have found descriptions and pictures that identify it, only to find contradictory information elsewhere.

it is not apple mint....no fruity smell.
Some call it horse mint, but pictures I have found from reputable sources look different.

Can anyone offer insight?
