Hi, I have 2 that I'm unsure of. There are 2 pictures of the same shrub/tree and 3 of this other plant.
The larger tree or shrub , I noticed last year as it was still small and half brown. It is between 2 large hedges and it is located right where a third hedge (same as other 2 ) used to be until it finally died and we had to remove it. I liked this new one, so I started using Spray n Grow on it last summer, and now it is as you see in the pic.I'm sure it's a common tree/shrub, but since I didn't plant it, I just wonder what / how it got there.

The other: Is it possibly one of those tropical house trees that are for indoors in my area-NJ? I ask that because it doesn't look like anything else I have planted, and it's located right where I had a tropical planted the year before last. I had 3 types-one was Yucca, one Dracaena Massangeana, other I can't remember. I had no room indoors and had to leave them out for winter knowing they'd die. Last year, none came back, as expected, but now, I wonder, is it possible? The winter was very mild. The leaves are just like one of those tropical trees I had-stiff, strong and thick with spikey, pointy ends. There are no lines through the leaves either like any of my lilies. Looking at web images, the one I think it is was the Yucca. Thanks for any help on this, it just seems impossible, but I can't figure out what else it could be.
Oh, and there are another group of same leaves coming up right next to these, not sure if visible in pic. Thanks again

The first looks like a juniper.
