Ajuga

Thank you. I looked it up and it looks very pretty. At first, I thought it would grow out of control in this little garden.

I looked at that site and I see some of those around here, and they are already blooming. This one is a lot bigger than the ajuga.

OK thank you. There is something else in the yard that is growing everywhere, but it is a lot smaller and they are all blooming right now, except for this plant.

That last one was the big one I'm talking about and this one is the smaller version -- which to me looks like tiny leaves. Perhaps it is that way because they are part of the grass that gets cut every two weeks.

I used the same rock to give you a better feel for what I'm talking about.

There are two different plant species here. Of your second set of pictures the first is also Ajuga reptans, the second is Glechoma hederacea and the last is a mixture of the two but predominantly Ajuga. Compare the leaves. They are quite a different shape and the flowers, although similar since both are members of the Lamiaceae, grow in different arrangements on different kinds of stalks.

I agree with Jaynine, Ajuga.

Yes - I do still think the first plant is Ajuga.

I agree with Flora - First is Ajuga and the second is Glechoma hederacea.
