edit: Sorry for some of the confusion- this is NOT the op picture. I posted this for the op to compare, but some folks thought it was the tree in question. I tried to add op picture here, but it's on flickr and I can't do it.

The photo in post #2 (which is a persimmon) is NOT the OP's photo. The OP's photo is different, with different leaves.

The OP's tree looks like Apricot foliage but the fruit appear to have a blossom scar which isn't quite right.

Yellow type crab apple, perhaps?

Well, it seems a little early for quince to be ripe (assuming photo is recent), and the fruits in the photo seem smaller than quinces would be (using leaf size as a scale), so my first guess would be crabapples, too, with quince another possibility.

The OP says the fruit resemble peaches. Some more pictures would be helpful.

I'm leaning towards a type of pear or Asian pear. Leaves look pearish to me.

Don't think so Thedecoguy. I had one and the leaves were a different shape and didn't have the silver reverse and the fruit was smaller, held on short stalks, less spherical and didn't have the pronounced blossom end scar.
