St. John's Wort perhaps?

This showed up in my garden and I've never planted it. It looks like it could be St. John's Wort to me, but since I've never had it nor planted seeds, I wasn't sure.

Yes indeed. Can be invasive/weedy in some areas. Re-seeds prolifically here in my area of the country. Could have blown in for you or been imported in soil, mulch, etc.

Anybody hazard a guess as to which Hypericum it is? H androsaemum maybe??

Not Hypericum perforatum.

Could be spotted St. John's wort, Hypericum punctatum. Could use a magnifying glass (or hand lens) to check for tiny black dots on the bloom.
