Hello all, this is my first post so please bear with me.

A plant grew in a pot in my garden a couple of years ago, seemingly out of nowhere. Leaves start to appear in early winter with flowers in late winter/early spring. The flower dies back in late spring, leaving a thick central style. It looks Peony-like, but the seed head is different - it seems to have two different types of leaves.
