Heliopsis helianthanoides maybe? False Sunflower? Did you plant any of this?

Thanks Vera, but no I did not plant that. Though that's not to say that you're wrong....I get all kinds of weird volunteers front mulch patch is overflowing w/an ornamental variety of dutchman's breeches even though I live miles from anyone who might have a garden bed!

Though I think the growth on this is more compact....sunflowers seem more spread out.

Heliopsis is NOT a true Sunflower.....hence the name False Sunflower. I use to grow this at and old garden and it sure looks like what you have there :)
