Is this a grass or a flower? Right pix is early Spring before leavers were on the trees, in a heavy wooded area, left pix is after trees were fully leaved out, about 3 weeks later. The last time I was back to look at them all of the seed/flower heads were gone. Pulled up a plant to see if the roots had any odor and they had no distinctive odor at all, forgot to get a pix of the roots but they were not bulbs or rhyzomes.
