Lime Green/Purple flower bush?

Posted by mrsbrigham none (My Page) on

Hi there!

I have this very large lime green colored bush with yarrow-like purple flowers.

Any guess what this is? When can I cut this back? Not a big fan ...

Also, does anyone know what the fall color of this bush is?

Spirea, one of the small gold-foliaged varieties. It may have really nice true gold and orange fall color. IME they can be cut to the ground at any time and they will resprout, though if I am going to do it I usually do it early spring.
