Lilium, a lily. It may have already flowered when you bought it or something ate off the tips.

Yes, a lily, and you will have to wait until next year to find out what color.

Plant it out in your garden. It likes sun and well drained soil.

do i need to do anything to it, trim or cut it, or leave it as is? Thanks

You can cut off some of the top...I sometimes trim down up to 1/2, depending on what is growing around it. Leave as much as you can, though, as what's on top is gathering for the bulb, which will produce the top next year. I always cut off the reproductive parts (stigma, etc.). See the 4th chart on the link.

Here is a link that might be useful: lily parts

And don't panic when it yellows and disappears in the Autumn - it's a bulb and will reappear next year.

The flower buds are deer candy so beware and plant in an appropriate location.

It bloomed already, nothing ate the flowers. Whether a place has deer or not the big hassle in my area is slugs - I often must bait almost constantly. And to keep these going you must maintain adequate fertility, same as with many other bulbs.

"It bloomed already, nothing ate the flowers."

I meant to watch out for next year.
