| Hi All,
I just found out that the uploading system has changed and now full size pics can be added to posts straight from the computer. No more squinting at little pics! :) Remy |

| I thought the "posting" area looked different...thanks for letting us know. But I really posted here to tell you, "What a gorgeous photo!" Love those roses...do you know what it is? And, does the color show up exactly right in the photo? |

| Thanks Mytime! It is Bow Bells an English type rose. That is what it really looks like. It is an upright growing shrub that does not need spraying. Remy |

| It's in most (all?) of the forums, and you can do it within existing threads. Excellent new feature! The only flaw, if you click preview and edit your comments again, you have to re-browse your image. If you're not copying/pasting into your thread, it's convenient to copy your image location before hitting preview in case you make another edit, you can just paste. No more explaining how photo hosting sites work, or the extra effort of uploading to a 3rd party. I do like having all of my pics in 1 place, though, and will probably still do mostly that. Is there anything around here that says how long the images will remain available as threads age? Not a factor on this forum, but could be frustrating in those discussions that evolve slowly for years. A rare rainy day last weekend... |

| Jekeesl, Yes, it would be nice if you could do more than one, but at least you can add a pic to every post. Most plants can be IDed with 2 pics. It might also get people to make one post at a time instead of posting for 20 different plants in a post. I don't even bother with those posts since I can't keep the plants straight without writing them down. I come here to relax, help out, and some times learn something. When the posts are too complex, I feel like it is a school test, lol. By the way what is the plant in your cool pic? FataMorgana, |

| Thanks Remy. That is a macro shot of Aesculus pavia (Red Buckeye), a fairly common shrub in the southeast US. I really like macros, because some of the "ugly", weedy species are beautiful when viewed close up. |

| Thanks, Remy! We've encouraged the milkweed to grow here. In 11 years since we bought the place, we now see monarchs most of the summer whereas when we first bought it we only saw them in the fall when they were traveling south and passing through. We are a wild way station in the midst of farmland and residential housing. The last black bear to roam through the area (a few years back) also went through our place. It liked the wild raspberries immensely! Wild follows wild... FataMorgana |
