what in the world is this?

I have been trying for several years to identify this plant. It's very dainty and fragile. If my cat lays in it, the branches will break. It gets between 2-3 ft. tall and leaves behind thousands of little seeds each year. What I especially love is that it stays in bloom for several weeks and looks beautiful in mass. It's the only plant I have still unidentified.

Thank you carrieb! That's exactly what they are. I googled it and found a pic that looks just like mine. About 6-7 years ago I did a trade of seeds with several other gals here and went hog wild planting them in my yard...lol...

finally I have the name! yeahh!!
