Common purslane (Portulaca oleracea). Pleasant-tasting and edible wild portulaca, and a good source of Omega-3 but can be a real pest in the garden. The succulent leaves & stems ensure that the flowering plant can set seed even when pulled from the ground, so if left lying it will come back to haunt you! :-)

RE: help id weed or plant

It rather depends on your style of gardening. Do you want a desert of mulch with a few conifers, a couple of random rocks and some straight jacketed trees poking up from the moonscape or do you prefer a slightly more living landscape? If the latter, weed by hand where you don't want a thing and leave it be where it does no harm and encourages biodiversity. Portulaca is a tiny little thing, native, tasty and food for wild life.
