The common name is Wild Flowering Dogwood Tree - and aren’t you lucky to have one!

A blight of Anthracnose disease -caused by a fungus - back a decade or 3 Wiped out many in my area‘s forests. 20+ years ago I had a dozen of the beautiful white lacy trees reaching tall for light, now just 2 remain. I’m am nursing the trees and boy do I want those seedlings to grow! The dogwood bushes & trees for sale at nurseries don’t seem as special to me.
