It looks a lot like wild ginger, except it is huge (a foot tall, leaves as big as my 2 hands, long round stems). The roots are a bit smaller than pencil thick, and remind me of daylily roots. Grows in a clump as you can see. Some of the leaves have the lighter underside, but others are quite purple. Any ideas? I am not sure that I want to plant it until I know what it is and how it will behave!
