Mystery Volunteer Needs ID

This popped up in a batch of Southern Wax Myrtles I sowed. Leaves are opposite, palmately compound, toothed, and the undersides are slightly hirsute.
Stem is square, channeled and dark maroon. Seems to enjoy water and shade. I'm hoping it isn't water hemlock...what say you? I'm in the Outer Banks of NC (Zone 8). Thanks for your input.

Reminds me of Bidens vulgata.

If it isn't Bidens (Beggar's Tick), it isn't real. This is a disgusting weed that took me years to get rid of. The seeds are small flat things with 2 barbed sharp projections that cling to your clothes, esp. socks. I think Bidens is like ticks and mosquitoes, who will miss them if they become extinct? Not much chance of that happening.

It was Biden its time, waiting for you to plant those seeds.

Water hemlock looks more like a carrot plant, other members of that family.
