Can you name this plant?

I cant remember where I bought this plant last year but it was in complete disrepair. I nursed it back to life and it was a lot bigger than it is now after winter.
I mulched around it in the early spring and it seems to be struggling.
I cant find the name of this plant and wanted to get more information on caring for this cool looking plant.
